The Wilton Public Schools Library Learning Commons is the Learning "Hub" of the school. In Wilton, the school libraries have begun a reimagined, transformation from traditional to future-forward Learning Commons that provide a comprehensive program of instruction, rich collections of print, online and "making" resources as well as provide support for the district's implementation of the Ready-Access Digital Learning Program.
In today’s global community, information literacy instruction is more important than ever. The Library Learning Commons is ground-zero for student preparation for the new digital literacies including curating, evaluating, synthesizing and creating with sources in multiple formats. Wilton Public Schools has completed writing a K-12 curriculum addressing independent, life-long learners who are effective, creative, and ethical users of ideas and information.
