Dear seniors and families,

We are all looking forward to Saturday, June 14 when we celebrate this outstanding Class of 2025. Congratulations in advance to our graduates and their families!  With graduation just over one week away, here are some final reminders and important information:

I. Lower Schools Walkthrough: Thursday, June 12

Seniors will have the opportunity to do a ‘farewell tour’ at Cider Mill and Middlebrook on the morning of Thursday, June 12.  Students who would like to participate should meet in the senior parking lot at 9:00 AM.  They will walk to Cider Mill at 9:30, then to Middlebrook around 10:30.  Students will then walk back to the high school.

II. Graduation Rehearsal: Friday, June 13

Mandatory graduation rehearsal for students is on Friday, June 13 at 1:00 PM beginning in the Clune Auditorium.  We anticipate that rehearsal will be completed by 2:30 PM.

III. Cap and Gown Pickup: Friday, June 13

Caps and gowns will be distributed in the cafeteria immediately following graduation rehearsal.  Students will need to have all obligations cleared in order to pick up their cap and gown.  Students who have obligations received an email with details on May 30.  Their parent/guardian also received a copy.

IV. Graduation Ceremony

          a. Date and Time

Graduation is scheduled for 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 14 on Fujitani Field.  In case of inclement weather the ceremony will be held in the WHS Field House.  The decision about where to hold the ceremony will be made by 7:00 AM on Saturday.  We all desire to have the ceremony outside on Fujitani Field, but the health and safety of all participants will drive the decision in the event of inclement weather. Please consult the Wilton High School website for any inclement weather announcements.  If the ceremony is in the Field House, each student will be allotted six tickets for guests.  Students can pick up their tickets from Mrs. Palmer in the school counseling hallway any time before June 14 (attendance outdoors is unlimited).  Finally, please note that students are expected to report to the Clune Auditorium 45 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony.

The ceremony will be live-streamed online for those who are unable to attend in person.  The link to the live-stream will be posted on the WHS website.

b. Seating, Handicapped Access

The graduation ceremony will face the north end of Fujitani Field at Memorial Stadium (click here to view a map).  Ample seating will be available on both the west and east bleachers.  As a reminder, reservation of seats in advance by placing towels, blankets or other items on seats will not be allowed and seating will be on a first come, first serve basis.

Handicapped access onto Fujitani Field will be provided via golf carts in the south lot of Memorial Stadium (between Whitten Field and the softball field) and at the end of the Cider Mill parking lot next to the concession stand (click here for a map). Disabled guests can be driven in a golf cart directly onto the field and will be able to sit in the easy access seating area behind the graduating students. The golf carts will run continuously from 12-1 PM to and from the field, and will run again after the ceremony.  There are also paved paths for wheelchair access onto the track.  If you have a special request for a disabled family member please complete this google form.

Finally, we ask that attendees bring water to drink so that they remain hydrated.  We will provide water for the graduates which will be located under their chairs on the field.

c. Decorum and Photography

It is important to maintain an atmosphere of dignity and respect during the ceremony.  Students are asked to dress appropriately for the ceremony. We have agreed that it is inappropriate for students to engage in any distracting behaviors during all aspects of the ceremony.  As audience members, we appreciate your support in helping to bring this spirit of decorum to the ceremony, while maintaining a celebratory atmosphere.  Students will process from the high school and proceed into Memorial Stadium in pairings of their choice.  Administration and student leadership will ensure that all students will have somebody with whom they will process. Photographers will be available to take pictures of students as they receive their diploma and as they walk through a gateway designed for photographs.  Parents will not be allowed to walk on the field during the ceremony in an effort to take their own photographs.

d. Diploma Pickup

At the conclusion of the ceremony graduates should pick up their diplomas at the designated area on Whitten field.

V. Saving Information from Your Google Drive

Your Wilton Public Schools Google account and all of its data will be deleted on June 16.  If there is any electronic data that you wish to take with you, please follow these instructions before June 16.

It is important to extend our appreciation to all of the many staff, students, and parents who are contributing to these end of year events for our seniors.  This has truly been a collective team effort as we ensure that our seniors will be able to cherish these experiences. We are all extremely proud of the Class of 2025 and wish them an outstanding culmination of their Wilton High School careers.
