Young students doing school work

Welcome to Wilton Public Schools! Here you will find information for Back to School 2022-2023!

A Letter from Dr. Kevin J. Smith, Superintendent of Wilton Public Schools

August 1, 2022

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Caregivers:

I hope this finds you well and enjoying a relaxing summer. While we still have several weeks left before we welcome students back to school, I thought you might appreciate having some dates of key return to school events.   Much more information will be sent home beginning August 15th.  The parent portal will open on a staggered schedule August 17th (details are below). We ask all families to help us by accessing the parent portal and reviewing demographic information. There is information we need from you to ensure a smooth opening, so please take some time to review the information contained in the parent portal.

We are all looking forward to an exciting and fun-filled school year and I know our entire staff is eager to welcome your children.

Sincerely,

Kevin J. Smith, Ph.D.
Superintendent of Schools

  • PARENT’S GUIDE TO SCHOOLOGY

Schoology is our Learning Management System.  Teachers use Schoology to post their classroom materials online; provide a safe forum for students to discuss their ideas and collaborate on projects; and to assign and collect homework electronically.

Schoology provides parent accounts that gives you access to the classes your child is enrolled in through a course dashboard.  Courses will include upcoming assignments, materials for classes and school and class announcements.  Through Schoology, parents are able to set up alerts for when assignments are late or missing and view a calendar that includes homework/tests your child has in their classes.  Once set-up, if you have more than one child in the schools, you can toggle between children’s Schoology accounts.  Please see below for the directions on logging into Schoology.  If you are new to the district and do not have your children’s access codes to set-up a Schoology account, you may call your child’s school office.  See below for directions:

    Go to schoology.com.

    1. Click Sign Up at the top of the page and choose Parent.
    2. Enter your Parent Access Code. This is a 12-digit code in xxxx-xxxx-xxxx format that you receive from one of your child's instructors. Call your child’s school office if you don’t have the code.  (Click “+” Add child if needed)
    3. Fill out the form with your information.
    4. Click Register to complete.
