History

A brief history of Wilton High School

The Class of 1959 was Wilton's first graduating class. The present Cider Mill School then served as a junior-senior high school with a total enrollment of 654 students in grades 7-12.

In September 1962, the high school opened in what is now Middlebrook School. In September 1971, a new Wilton High School opened on our current site.

In the fall, 2001, a major expansion project was completed that added approximately 40 percent additional square footage. Today Wilton High School enrolls approximately 1300 students with a staff of approximately 200.
