Excellence in Extracurriculars (EXEC) Scholarship - EXEC (Excellence in Extracurriculars) SCHOLARSHIP - one recipient will be selected for their outstanding impact on extracurricular clubs (not music, athletics or outside community service) at Wilton High School.  The student selected will have demonstrated outstanding leadership, achievement and mentorship in their club and will have strived to make an impact in multiple extracurricular clubs at WHS. Application and Information on Naviance Student Scholarship pageEmail deadline April 03, 2023

Kiwanis Club of Wilton Community Service Award - Must be a member of the WHS Key Club.  Award to a Key Club member who best exemplifies the core values, mission, and character of the Kiwanis and Key Club International organizations, as a leader and example of selfless service to their school and broader Wilton community. Application, essay on an impact you have made in the community and how community service has impacted you and recommendation are due to Jeff Turner at turnernews@aol.comApplication and Information on Naviance Student Scholarship page. Deadline April 21, 2023

The Wilton Democratic Town Committee ‘Civic Leadership Award$500 scholarship given to a Wilton High School graduating senior. The recipient will be chosen based on his / her / their intent to pursue participation in civic issues that promote the quality of life in their community. MELISSA MCFADDEN SCHOLARSHIP - This scholarship, celebrating the life and achievements of Melissa McFadden, is given to a graduating senior that has demonstrated an interest and desire to improve the lives of individuals with intellectual and physical challenges in the town of Wilton. WILTON LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS NONPARTISANSHIP AWARD – This scholarship honors the decades of service that Tina Gardner has given to the Wilton community in multiple roles. First as a Wilton registrar of voters, and thereafter as a polling place moderator for our municipal and statewide elections, she ensured free and fair elections. In addition, Tina has volunteered countless hours for the Wilton Library, Wilton Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), her church, and the League of Women Voters. In all her work on behalf of our town, Tina has exemplified the ideal of community service within a non-partisan context.

In 500 words or less, discuss what “non-partisan service” means to you. Include what differentiates non-partisan service from other ways of contributing to the well-being of our community. Finally, discuss what you see as the value of non-partisanship within the current moment in our history, as your generation seeks to work toward progress rather than division.

Essay submissions are due by 8:00 am on April 17, 2023; and should be sent directly to the Wilton League of Women Voters at wiltonlwv@gmail.com. Please put "WHS Scholarship" in the subject line.

 

WILTON REPUBLICAN TOWN COMMITTEE BUD BOUCHER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP – Established to honor the memory of Bud Boucher, a longtime resident of Wilton, who loved America, was intensely interested in the political process, and was committed to participating as an engaged, informed citizen.  Application and information on Naviance Student Scholarship page.
