Can I print my homework or borrow supplies in the Library Learning Commons?
Yes.  There is a student printer located at the end of the Collaborative Area in the LLC.  You will need your student # and your network password (not the same as Google).

As for borrowing supplies, just step up to the Maker/Project cart behind Mr. Dunaj's desk to borrow markers, tape, scissors, glue sticks, etc. Please be considerate and return what you borrow so others can use.

Where can I charge my device?
You are responsible for having a charged device in class. Be sure to charge your device at home, and bring your charger to school if needed, as the LLC does not have chargers to loan out for personal devices. Personal devices may not be left to charge in the LLC or elsewhere in the building.

If I need to borrow a device, may I?
Devices may be borrowed for daily checkout if your device is being repaired or otherwise unavailable. They must be returned at the end of the day, and are not available for overnight checkout.  Please review the WPS district’s appropriate use policy. We will charge $60.00 for a lost or damaged Chromebook. Checks for lost or damaged equipment should be made out to Treasurer, Town of Wilton. WPS Chromebook Policies.

Do I need to log into Destiny to look for a library book?
You don’t need to be logged into Destiny to search for a title in our Library Learning Commons. However, if you want to add a book to a collection (saved list), recommend books to others, access MLA citations, place a hold on a book or see what you have checked out, then you’ll need to log in. Use your school Google SSO log in to access these advanced features of Destiny.

Can I borrow an audio book?
Yes. We have access to audiobooks through Sora, our online subscription eBook & audiobook service- log in with your wiltonps Google account.

Is there a place for semi-quiet work in the Library Learning Commons?
Our Library Learning Commons is usually a busy place, but a great spot to get work done is in the Scholars' Lounge up on the LLC mezzanine (Class of 2018 Gift.).  If you are looking for a silent place to read or study, please ask the LLC staff to open up the classroom space in the Mezz.

Can I come to the Library Learning Commons during my lunch wave?
Yes, but, lunch must be eaten in the cafeteria, not in the Library Learning Commons.

I've never taken out a book before. What do I do?
Just step right up to the help desk and tell us your name. Books circulate for three weeks.

Do you have copies of textbooks in the Library Learning Commons?
We have several textbooks, but not all. Ask at the help desk to borrow a textbook for in-library use. If we do not have the one you need, you will have to get an extra copy from the department workroom.

Does the LLC charge overdue, lost, or damaged material fines?
The LLC does NOT charge late fees for books, but we do ask that you return them in a timely manner so that others can use them.  We do assign fees for damaged and lost materials, based on the cost and availability
(the current market value of the book from the WHS LLC vendors). If you choose to replace the book yourself, the book must be new and have the correct ISBN#. We need to ensure that the correct title and format of the book is repurchased for the LLC collection.   Our chromebook replacement fees are determined by the district.
