Winter Concert Update

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Teachers,

The students and teachers in the Music Department have been hard at work preparing for our annual Winter Concerts.  The change in the timing of our school-wide testing schedule this year has impacted the timing and schedule for rehearsals and concerts.  Specifically, we have canceled the full rehearsals that normally take place during the school day and modified the winter concert dates. Considering we are not able to have our rehearsals during the school day, our best solution for the Winter Concerts has the Chorus performing on the original dates (with an evening rehearsal) and the Band and Orchestra performing in January.

I am so appreciative of everyone’s understanding and work to quickly adapt to these new circumstances.  I am especially grateful for the flexibility by our music department to adapt to so many and some last minute changes.  

Please see the modified performance schedules:

7th Grade CHORUS full rehearsal and concert: Wednesday evening, November 30 

6th Grade CHORUS full rehearsal and concert: Wednesday evening, December 7

8th Grade CHORUS full rehearsal and concert: Wednesday evening, December 14

CHORUS students will arrive at 5:45pm for the full rehearsal and the concert will begin at 7:30pm. 

We will follow up with more specific details for the band and orchestra plans.  Here are the dates for those concerts:

7th Grade BAND AND ORCHESTRA concert: Thursday evening, January 5 

6th Grade BAND AND ORCHESTRA concert: Wednesday evening, January 11 

8th Grade BAND AND ORCHESTRA concert: Thursday evening, January 19
