The Cannondale Campus Scholarship Award for Nursing - Awarded to senior who intends to major in  Nursing in college in the fall of 2020.  To be considered for this scholarship, please submit the following:     A one page (maximum) essay detailing your goal to pursue a career in a field of nursing and how this scholarship will help you work toward that goal.     One letter of recommendation from someone outside of the Wilton Public Schools who can describe your commitment to helping others.     A resume or a list of the activities you have been involved in during high school.  Please EMAIL completed documents to Senior College Counseling Secretary <mangans@wiltonps.org> by March 25, 2020.

Captain Sam Polis Memorial Scholarship - The scholarship provides $500.00 to a senior who has demonstrated significant support for veterans' causes; plans to pursue a service in the military (enlistment or officer program); studies in a trade or; want to become a first responder. Excellence in Extracurriculars (EXEC) Scholarship - Two recipients (Seniors only) of the Excellence in Extracurriculars (EXEC) Scholarship will be chosen every year for their outstanding impact on extracurricular clubs at Wilton High School. Students who are awarded will have demonstrated outstanding leadership, achievement, and mentorship in their clubs. Recipients will have strived to make an impact in multiple extracurricular clubs at Wilton High School. Each will be awarded a $750 scholarship. .APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:   A one-page resumé (12 pt. Times New Roman, single spaced) detailing the applicant’s impact on WHS extracurricular clubs through leadership, achievement, and mentorship. This resumé should only include WHS extracurricular clubs.·  One required 150 word essay addressing the following topic: Please tell us about the WHS club you have had the most significant impact on, and what impact that club has had on you.·  One recommended 150 word essay addressing the following topic: Please tell us about an additional WHS club you have had a significant impact on, and what impact that club has had on you. ·  Each component of the application should be signed off on by the corresponding club advisor - i.e., each club listed in the resumé should be signed off on by the appropriate advisor, and each essay should be signed off on by the advisor of the corresponding club. ·  The application will not be considered complete without the appropriate signatures ·  Seniors on the Executive Board are not eligible for the scholarship. SELECTION OF SCHOLARS:The award recipients are seniors who demonstrate a significant impact on multiple WHS clubs through outstanding leadership, achievement, and mentorship. Two seniors are chosen as EXEC Scholars and will be awarded the $750 scholarship(s). Seniors on the Executive Board members are not eligible for the award. Georgetown Lions Club Scholarship - only for seniors who will be attending a college in Connecticut in the fall. Must demonstrate community service and have a 3.0 GPA or higher. Resume and proof of attending college in CT requires. Please EMAIL completed documents to Senior College Counseling Secretary <mangans@wiltonps.org>.

John J. Cahill Scholarship Wilton Volunteer Fire Department - Scholarship to a Senior with outstanding, demonstrated community service involvement and pursuing a program in higher education. Transcript, resume and interview required. Kiwanis Club of Wilton Community Service Award - You MUST be a member of WHS Key Club in order to apply. Award is presented to the graduating Wilton High School Key Club member who best exemplifies the core values, mission, and character of the Kiwanis and Key Club International organizations, as a leader and example of selfless service Please EMAIL essay and recommendation to Jeff Turner at <turnernews@aol.com>.  Deadline April 20, 2020.

Melissa McFadden Scholarship :The Wilton Family YMCA - This scholarship is given to celebrate the life and achievements of Melissa McFadden. The scholarship is given annually to a graduating senior that has demonstrated and interest and desire to improve the lives of individuals with intellectual and physical challenges in the town of Wilton.  Application and a minimum of 2 recommendations from either a teacher or supervisor of relevant extracurricular activity in which you participate required. Nicholas Zinicola, Class of 1998, Memorial Scholarship - $1000 scholarship will be awarded in memory of Nick Zinicola ’98. Nick was an outgoing, hardworking, involved and athletic young man who died in a car accident in April 2010. The following criteria will be used in selecting the scholarship recipient: The student must be enrolling in college for the 2020-2021 school year AND The student must complete a short essay -- “When you pass on, how do you hope people will remember you? Wilton RTC (Republican Town Committee) Scholarship - The Wilton RTC is pleased to announce a $1000 scholarship award for a graduating Wilton High School senior who will be enrolled as a full time college student in the fall of 2020.The scholarship applicants are required to write a 500 word essay that explains “What does it mean to be a Wiltonian?”.The essays will be judged by the RTC Scholarship Committee and the winner will receive a $1000 scholarship. Applicants may only submit one essay.The essays will be judged based on the following criteria: Insightfulness; Originality; Creativity and Grammar. Wilton Rotary Club Scholarship - Two $1,000.00 scholarships to graduating WHS Seniors with at least a 3.0 GPA. Application, brief essay and extracurricular information required. . Wilton Woman's Club: Elizabeth Sternad Scholarship - The Club is seeking applicants for the ElizabethSternad Scholarship honoring the Club’s founder and long-time Wilton resident, Betty Sternad. Criteria: Outstanding and on-going Service, Leadership, Character. GPA is NOT a determining factor. All recipients of the Scholarship must be residents of Wilton, Connecticut at the time of application and receipt of the award. All recipients of the Scholarship must be students of Wilton High School in their last year before graduating. All recipients of the Scholarship must be female. Recipients may be daughters of WWC members and WWC Board members, but these applicants do not receive any preference. Names are removed before applications go to the judges. Interested high school girls should submit a resume and an essay tailored specifically to this award, highlighting her on-going service and outlining why she is deserving of consideration.
