Purpose
Together, we will imagine what our school facilities could and should make possible for students, educators, and the community over the next 25 years. We’re not here to design blueprints, we’re here to dream, explore, and articulate the values, experiences, and possibilities our future schools should reflect.

Table Discussions Small group conversations guided by Jonathan’s input and key questions
Whole Group Debrief and Reflection Group Facilitators and Participants

Guiding Questions
  • When you imagine the ideal learning environment for our students 25 years from now, what does it look like, sound like, feel like?
  • As teaching and learning evolve, in what ways should our facilities evolve?

Additional Questions to Prompt Thinking and Discussion
• What primary values should our future school buildings reflect?
• In what ways will teaching and learning evolve, and how should our facilities support that evolution?
• What kinds of learning experiences should our buildings make possible?
• In what ways can our school buildings strengthen connections among students, staff, families, and the Wilton community?
• In what ways should our facilities reflect who we are as a community, while preparing students for a global future?
• In what ways should our school buildings be flexible enough to adapt to changes we can’t predict?
• What spaces might students need that either don’t exist today or exist but need to be enhanced?
• In what ways should our facilities promote equity, accessibility, and inclusion for all learners?
• In what ways should our school buildings best support physical, social-emotional, and mental wellbeing?
• What role should sustainability and environmental stewardship play in school design?
• How can our facilities model responsible, future-focused citizenship for students?
