School Climate

The Wilton School District and Board of Education are committed to supporting and promoting  teaching and learning environments where all students thrive academically and socially, have a strong and meaningful voice, and are prepared for lifelong success. In order to foster an atmosphere conducive to learning, the board has developed the following school climate plan including restorative practices, consistent with state law and board policy. This plan represents a comprehensive approach to addressing challenging behavior, bullying, cyberbullying and teen dating violence. The goal is the establishment of a positive school climate in which norms, values, and expectations make students and adults feel socially, emotionally, intellectually and physically safe. This commitment is an integral part of our comprehensive efforts to promote an environment that fosters safety and belonging for ALL students. The district expects that all members of the school community will treat each other in a civil manner and with respect for differences.
